Anarch members taking part in a DRR training focusing on Incident Command Systems for effective response by disaster managers.
We have deep knowledge and understanding of the fact that both natural and man-made hazards including climate crisis, conflicts and pandemics, have far-reaching disastrous effects on communities, environments, infrastructure and economies. This is a serious threat to sustainable existence of human beings and other living things affecting sustainable development. We strive to help our partners and clients develop cultures of excellence through effective whole of society approaches based on multi-hazard approaches to disaster risk reduction (DRR) with inclusion of climate change and terrorism threats. Co-developing and testing of multi-hazard risk mapping and assessment tools, disaster preparedness and response plans, table top exercises, functional exercises and full-scale exercises serves as part of our strategic and operational services and practices towards a culture of excellence in DRR. Footsteps towards inclusive DRR services are; DRR leadership, learning, emergency operation centers, incident command systems, violent extremism, terrorism, multi-hazard early warning systems, whole community approaches, CBNR, gender perspectives, mental wellbeing, resilience building, conservation, leveraging on indigenous and traditional knowledge.
